Answer:

Option (D)

Explanation:

The motion of tectonic plates is controlled by both the factors, namely the  convection current and gravity. Both this factors occurs simultaneously.

The magma when heated becomes less dense (gravity decrease), and slowly rises up towards the surface of the mantle. As the magma reaches the upper part of the mantle, its temperature decreases and density slowly increases and it eventually sinks. This continuous motion of magma from the core mantle boundary to the surface of the mantle forms a current known as the convection current, that forms in the mantle. It is due to the heat energy radiated from the interior of the earth.

This plate motion takes place in 3 ways namely the divergent, convergent and the transform type of plate boundary.

In the divergent plate boundary, due to the greater density, the oceanic plate subducts below the continental plate.

Thus, in all aspects, the plate motion is initiated by both gravity and gravitational force.

Hence, the correct answer is option (D).

In these imprinted cells, the SNRPN transcript overlaps with another gene, called UBE3A, which is transcribed in the opposite di
Radda [10]

Answer:

a. The maternal copy of UBE3A is expressed and the paternal copy is silenced.

Explanation:

When UBE3A chromosome is in neurons, paternal allele is silent and maternal allele is expressed in process of genomic imprinting. In some cases UBE3A is expressed from both paternal and maternal chromosomes. The paternal chromosome is blue whereas maternal chromosome is magenta.

Which type of movement is characteristic of the articulation between the tibia and fibula with the talus?
jonny [76]

Solution:

The function and mobility of each joint depends on its anatomical design. Joints that permit no movement or slight movement are common in the axial skeleton where basic structural support and protection  is expected. Joints that are freely moveable are common in the appendicular skeleton where mobility is required. Is known as articulation.

The tibial collateral ligament reinforces the medial side of the knee joint and the fibular collateral ligament reinforces the lateral side of the knee joint. Two popliteal ligaments reinforce the posterior side of the knee joint.

When an automatic battery is fully charged the sulfuric acid and water mixture will have a specific gravity of about
Archy [21]

the specific gravity of pure sulfuric acid is---------> approximately 1.835 g / cm3

the specific gravity of water is -------------------- >1.000 g / cm3.

The electrolyte, that is, the dissolution of sulfuric acid in water, is usually at a rate of 36% acid, so that, in a fully charged element, we can deduce the electrolyte density, is 1.295 g / cm3. (see attached table)

The specific gravity is actually the difference in the weight of water compared to a specific fluid. It is measured with a hydrometer
