If the temperature of the egg is x, then if x is below 23 (x<23), they rarely hatch. If x is greater than 33 (x>33), they also rarely hatch. For them to not rarely hatch, then x must be not below 23 (greater than or equal to) and not above 33 (less than or equal to), resulting in our compound equality being
23≤x≤33 and our pair of simple inequalities being x≥23 and x≤33.

Answer + Explanation:

let x be the measure of angle x

let y be the measure of angle y

\left \{ {{x + y = 180} \atop {x=24+y}} \right.

Now, solve:

plug x = 24 + y into x + y = 180

24 + y + y = 180

24 + 2y = 180

2y = 156

y = 78

Now, plug this back into the equation x = 24 + 78

x = 102

From a club 25 people in how many ways can a group of five members be selected to attend conference? A group of 5 members can be
IgorLugansk [536]

Answer:

²⁵C₅ = 53130

Step-by-step explanation:

number of people in the club = 25

number of people to be selected in the group to attend conference = 5

number of ways of selecting this group from 25 people is same as selecting 5 objects from 25 distinct objects = ²⁵C₅ (Selection)

= \frac{25!}{5!(25-5)!}

= \frac{25!}{5!(20)!}

= 21×22×23×5

= 53130

∴ <u>Number of ways of selecting this group from 25 people = 53130</u>
