Solution:

As when we are talking about lines , we can't say it has a length of an inch. So it must be line segment.

As i have drawn two vertical lines an inch long an inch apart which are parallel to each other.

Then i have drawn half inch horizontal lines below that two lines centered between the lines.

No mathematical shape has formed. Neither it is a curve .

Depicted the picture below.

Please Help ASAP with Math
vampirchik [111]

Answer:

5.33

Step-by-step explanation:

move the 4 out of the summation because  just a constant multiplier

4 *sum from 1 to 10 for (1/4)^(n-1)   [sorry i don't know how to write sums using latex)

The formula for the geometric sum is :

First term*(1-multiplier^n)/(1-multiplier), formally \frac{a_1(1-r^n)}{1-r}

Here multiplier is 1/4

First term is (1/4)^(1-1) = 1

Thus the value of sum is 1*(1-(1/4)^1^0)/(1-1/4)which equals (1- (1/4)^1^0)*4/3

We factored out 4 so its 4*(1-(1/4)^1^0)*4/3 which is 16/3 * (1- (1/4)^1^0)

This equals 5.333328247 which is 5.33 to the nearest hundredth

Simplify the product using FOIL (2x-7)(5x+5)
babunello [35]

Answer:

10x^2-25x-35

Step-by-step explanation:

FOIL means first, outer, inner, and last.

The first term of each pair is 2x and 5x.

The outer term of each pair is 2x and 5.

The inner term of each pairs are -7 and 5x.

The last term of each is -7 and 5.

Now we just have to multiply the terms I pairs above:

First:   (2x)(5x)=10x^2

Outer: (2x)(5)=10x

Inner: (-7)(5x)=-35x

Last:   (-7)(5)=-35

------------------------------Add the terms:

10x^2-25x-35
