To determine mine x, we are given one angle to be 38°.

Total angle in a triangle= 180

In that triangle

X+X+38= 180

The other angle is equal to X .

2X = 180-38

2X = 142

X =142/2

X = 71°

Here is my point: He only had to walk a total of twelve miles. Why would the answer be 16, 18, and 24 miles when he only has to walk 12???
