Main idea of operant conditioning is that

a. Behavior is motivated by the consequences we receive for the behavior: reinforcements and punishments.

Explanation:

Operant conditioning as opposed to the concept of classical conditioning works on the concept of reinforcement and punishment. Classical conditioning works on the concept of stimuli and reception to it and this adds on to it,

The theory is that behavior is thus influenced by the consequences it gets. If the behavior gets the positive response it means that it is to be continued while punished behavior is discouraged because it gets punished.

Answer:

Elevated blood cholesterol level.

Explanation:

Cholesterol is a type of fat present in animals that plays an important role in the organisms. Cholesterol acts as the precursor for different steroid hormones and an important composition of plasma membrane.

The too much cholesterol in the body can increase the rate of heart attacks in the individual. The lack of exercise and body movement increases the level of cholesterol in the individual. Hence, Ben is more likely to show the elevated levels of cholesterol.

Thus, the correct answer is option (a).
