Answer: C) above 10

Explanation: pH is the measure of acidity and alkalinity.

Acids are substances which give H^+ in water. They are corrosive in nature and are mostly sour in taste. The pH of acids ranges from 1 to 7.

Bases are substances which give OH^- in water. They are corrosive and slippery in nature. The pH of bases ranges from 7 to 14.

Neutral solutions have pH of 7.

Thus as oven cleaner is corrosive and has a slippery feel, it is basic in nature and thus have pH above 10.

The answer would be (c) above 10 because 4 is basic 5 to seven is also basic and 7 is neutral.

How is the average American diet affected by our current food system?"
iren [92.7K]
Poor diet is predominantly associated with weight gain and obesity; however, the harmful effects do not end there. Animal and human studies indicate that an unhealthy diet can contribute to the development of many diseases, like cardiovascular disease and cancer, and can even affect the brain.

What is the correct formula for power? A. Power = work / time B. Power = work * time C. Power = force * distance D. Power = work
steposvetlana [31]

Answer:

A. Power = Work / Time

Explanation:

Power is the amount of work done over time, or rather the rate of work, which is given by the unit of watts (W). Since work is defined by Force * Displacement, we can also say Power = Force * Displacement / Time.

An alert driver can apply the brakes fully in about 0.5 seconds. How far would the car travel if it
dybincka [34]

Answer:

The car would travel after applying brakes is, d = 14.53 m

Explanation:

Given that,

The time taken to apply brakes fully is, t = 0.5 s

The velocity of the car, v = 29.06 m/s

The distance traveled by the car in 0.5 s, d = ?

The relation between the velocity, displacement, and time is given by the formula

                                d = v x t    m

Substituting the values in the above equation,

                                  d = 29.06 m/s x 0.5 s

                                     = 14.53 m

Therefore, the car would travel after applying brakes is, d = 14.53 m
