A) One solution: 5x +2y = 0 . . . . (any line with a different slope)

b) Two solutions: not possible

c) No solutions: 5x -2y = 0 . . . . (any different line with the same slope)

d) Infinitely many solutions: 10x -4y = 6 . . . . (any other equation for the same line)

Answer with explanation:

1.⇒ The given equation is

  5x-2y=3

For one solution ,you should write linear equation in such a way

ax+by=c, such that

  \frac{5}{a}\neq \frac{-2}{b}\neq \frac{3}{c}

So, the linear equation will be

→3x+4y=8

You can write many more by yourself.

2.⇒Exactly two solutions

The two lines intersect at only one point.So,there are no such lines which has two point of Intersection.

3.⇒No solutions

It means the two lines will never intersect.

 For no solution ,you should write equation of line in such a way

ax+by=c, such that

  \frac{5}{a}=\frac{-2}{b}\neq \frac{3}{c}

So, the linear equation will be

→10x -4y=15

You can write many more by yourself.

4.⇒Infinitely many solutions

For Infinite number of solution ,you should write linear equation in such a way

ax+by=c, such that

  \frac{5}{a}=\frac{-2}{b}=\frac{3}{c}

→10x-4y=6

Tony had $360 in his savings account. His bank wants to make two transactions. A withdrawal as -$45 and a deposit as $25.What is
romanna [79]

Answer:

His balance will be $340.

Step-by-step explanation:

1.) 360-45=315

- You do this because when you make a withdrawal you are removing a specific amount of money from your account. In this example you are making a withdrawal (removing) of $45 from your account of $360.

2.) 315+25=340

- You did this because a deposit is a specific amount of money you are adding. In this example you are depositing (adding) $25 to your new total of $315.

Find the volume of a cylinder with height 14.7 cm and diameter 10.5 cm.
velikii [3]

Hello!

The volume of a cylinder is found by using the formula: V = πr²h.

The problem has given us the height of the cylinder, which is 14.7 centimeters, and the diameter which is 10.5 centimeters. The volume of a cylinder requires the radius, so therefore, to find the radius, divide the diameter by half, and that will give the radius.

R = 10.5 / 2

R = 5.25 centimeters

With that radius and the height, we can find the volume of the cylinder.

V = π(5.25)²(14.7)

V = 27.5625(14.7)π

V = 405.17π, 1272.23 (multiplied by 3.14), 1272.88 (multiplied by π)

Therefore, the volume of this cylinder is 1272.88 centimeters³.

Can anyone fill this sheet, I'm too confused by this subject and don't understand it. Any help would be much appreciated.

<u>Question 1</u>

Two triangles are said to be similar, if their sides are proportional and the corresponding angles are equal.

In the given figures, it is given that one of the angles is 80 degrees. So, the corresponding angle in the another triangle is also 80 degrees.

Also, please note that the triangles are isosceles.

We know that, in an isosceles triangle, the angles opposite to the equal sides are equal.

The equal angles are b and b.

By the angle-sum property, we have:

b + b + 80 = 180

2b + 80 = 180

2b = 180 - 80 = 100

b = 50 degrees.

Similar shapes have the same <u>angles.</u>

<u>Question 2:</u>

Even though the length of the second cuboid is twice the length of the first one, no information is given about the breadth and height.

Let b, c be the breadth and height of the first cuboid and B, H be the breadth and height of the second cuboid.

Now, we have two cases.

Case 1:  b = B and h = H

In this case, the volume of the first cuboid is length × breadth × height

= lbh

Volume of second cuboid = (2l) × b × h = 2lbh

So, Simon is correct about the volumes.

Case 2:  b ≠ B or h ≠ H

In this case, clearly the volumes will be different and Simon is wrong.

<u>Question 3:</u>

By Basic Proportionality Theorem and from corresponding part of similar triangles,

\frac{x}{10}=\frac{x+y}{20}

\frac{x}{10}= \frac{x}{20} + \frac{y}{20}

\frac{x}{10} - \frac{x}{20} = \frac{y}{20}

\frac{x}{20} = \frac{y}{20}

x = y

or x : y = 1 : 1

<u>Question 4:</u>

Since the jugs are irregular shapes, it is impossible to find their volumes only with known height.
