Chemistry

Option C: a true solution will not separate in a centrifuge.

A solution is said to be a true solution if the solute particles form homogeneous mixture with the solvent. In a homogeneous mixture, the size of the particle of solute is less than 1 nm, can not be seen from naked ice. In such solutions, the solute particles completely dissolves in solvent in all proportions and cannot settle down at bottom if kept at rest for some time.

As complete dissolution of solute takes place, there is no cloudy appearance in the true solution also, once the solution is formed solute and solvent particles can not be separated with simple processes such as heating, boiling and centrifugation.

For example, solution of sugar and water, sugar particles completely dissolve in water to form homogeneous mixture or true solution.

Therefore, a true solution will not separate in a centrifuge.

Calculate the number of molecules present in 3.50 mol feo2. 2.11 x 1024 molecules 2.107 x 1023 molecules 3.50 x 1023 molecules <u>3.5*(6.02*10^23)=2.107*10^24 molecules</u>

<h3>What is molecules?</h3>

A molecule is the smallest unit of a substance that keeps its content and properties. It is made up of two or more atoms that are joined together by chemical bonds. Chemistry is built on molecules. The element symbol and a subscript indicating the number of atoms are used to identify molecules.

The fundamental building block of an element is an atom. They are made up of an electron-surrounded nucleus. An atom is considered to have valence electrons if its electron shell is not completely complete. A chemical (covalent) connection is created and a lower energy state is entered when two or more atoms join forces to share outer shell valence electrons. In an exothermic reaction, energy is released as atoms bond.

PLS HELP ASAP i really need an answer a correct one
nata0808 [166]

Answer: 67.23 L

Explanation:

According to avogadro's law, 1 mole of every substance occupies 22.4 L at STP and contains avogadro's number 6.023\times 10^{23} of particles.

To calculate the number of moles, we use the equation:

\text{Number of moles}=\frac{\text{Given mass}}{\text{Molar mass}}

Putting in the values we get:

\text{Number of moles of methane}=\frac{48g}{16g/mol}=3moles

1 mole of methane occupies = 22.4 L

Thus 3 moles of methane occupy = \frac{22.4}{1}\times 3=67.23L

Thus volume of 48 grams of methane gas is 67.23 L

A laboratory analysis of an unknown sample yields 74.0% carbon, 7.4% hydrogen, 8.6% nitrogen, and 10.0% oxygen. What is the empi
kirza4 [7]
Let us assume that there is a 100g sample present. The respective mass of each element will then be:
C: 74 g
H: 7.4 g
N: 8.6 g
O: 10 g
Now, we divide each constituent's mass by its Mr to obtain the moles of each
C: (74 / 12) = 6.17
H: (7.4 / 1) = 7.4
N: (8.6 / 14) = 0.61
O: (10 / 16) = 0.625
Dividing by the smallest number:
C: 10
H: 12
N: 1
O: 1
Thus, the empirical formula is
C10H12NO
