When doing problems like this, we use BEDMAS, brackets, exponents, division, multiplication, addition, subtraction. We do these steps from left to right

We have brackets and that is the very first step.

9x12

from there we just answer the question

Which of the following describes the function shown in the table below? x y -4 16 -1 2 2 0.25 4 0.0625 5 0.03125 exponential, th
wolverine [178]

A statement which best describes the function shown in the table is: B. exponential, there is a continual rate of decay or decrease.

<h3>What is an exponential function?</h3>

An exponential function is a mathematical function whose numerical values (numerals) are generated by a constant that is raised to the power of an argument.

<u>Given the following table:</u>

X : -4        -1        2            4              5

Y :  16        2       0.25   0.0625    0.03125

Next, we would calculate the rate of decay for the y-values:

16/2 = 2/0.25 = 0.25/0.0625 = 0.0625/0.03125 = 8

<u>Rule:</u> The y-values constantly decreases by 1/4 or 0.25 of the previous number.

In conclusion, we can logically deduce that the function shown in the table is exponential, there is a continual rate of decay or decrease.

Using the Law of Cosines, in triangle DEF, if e=18yd, d=10yd, f=22yd, find measurement of angle D
Ivahew [28]
Check the picture below.

\bf \textit{Law of Cosines}\\ \quad \\&#10;c^2 = {{ a}}^2+{{ b}}^2-(2{{ a}}{{ b}})cos(C)\implies &#10;c = \sqrt{{{ a}}^2+{{ b}}^2-(2{{ a}}{{ b}})cos(C)}&#10;\\\\\\&#10;\cfrac{{{ a}}^2+{{ b}}^2-c^2}{2{{ a}}{{ b}}}=cos(C)\implies cos^{-1}\left(\cfrac{{{ a}}^2+{{ b}}^2-c^2}{2{{ a}}{{ b}}}\right)=\measuredangle C\\\\&#10;-------------------------------\\\\&#10;\begin{cases}&#10;d=10\\&#10;e=18\\&#10;f=22&#10;\end{cases}\implies cos^{-1}\left(\cfrac{{{ 18}}^2+{{ 22}}^2-10^2}{2(18)(22)}\right)=\measuredangle D

\bf \implies cos^{-1}\left(0.893\overline{93}\right)=\measuredangle D\implies 26.63^o\approx \measuredangle D
