So to get the answer, we just add the number of bones in your hands and bones in your skull
1/4 (bones in hands) + 1/10 (bones in skull)
we can only add fractions that have the same denominator (bottom number in a fraction) so we change the numbers to have a common denominator:
5/20 + 2/20 = 7/20
so 7/20 of your bones are in your hands or skull

Solve this equation. 5n+7=7(n+1)-2n
Trava [24]
5n + 7 = 7(n+1) - 2n

First distribute 7 to all terms inside the parenthesis

7(n) = 7n
7(1) = 7

5n + 7 = 7n - 2n + 7

Simplify. Combine like terms

5n + 7 = 5n + 7

True.

If you want to continue:

Isolate the n, move all variables to one side, and constants to the other

5n (-5n) + 7 (-7) = 5n (-5n) + 7 (-7)

0 = 0

True
