Answer:

The total number of people went to the movie is 7 .

Step-by-step explanation:

Given as :

The cost of each people went to movie = $ 6.50

The price spent on snacks = $ 17.50

The total amount spent = $ 63

Let The total number of people went to movie = Isaballa + x friend's

I.e The total number of people went to movie = 1 + x

Now, According to question

( 1 + x ) × $ 6.50 + $ 17.50 = $ 63

Or, ( 1 + x ) × $ 6.50 = $ 63 - $ 17.50

Or,  ( 1 + x ) × $ 6.50 = $ 45.5

∴     1 + x = \frac{45.5}{6.5}

I.e 1 + x = 7

Or,   x = 7 - 1 = 6

So, The number of friend's went to movie along with Isaballa is 6

Hence The total number of people went to the movie is 7 .    Answer
