2(30)+2x=860
This is because the 4 sides of the rectangle add up to the perimeter.
The unknown side is x, and there are two of those, and there are also two sides of 30.
They all add up to the perimeter.
So:
2(30) + 2x = 860
If you use the SAS theorem, you can prove the triangles are congruent. Due to vertical angles, we have one angle, and we know one side is congruent. In order to prove these triangles are simillar, we need another side
No thanks buddy im pretty busy already
Usually called "half of base times height", the area of a triangle is given by the formula below.Area=ba2whereb is the length of the base
a is the length of the corresponding altitude
You can choose any side to be the base. It need not be the one drawn at the bottom of the triangle. The altitude must be the one corresponding to the base you choose. The altitude is the line perpendicular to the selected base from the opposite vertex.
In the figure above, one side has been chosen as the base and its corresponding altitude is shown.
Apply the "FOIL" method here. (m+1)(m+1) = m^2 + 1m + 1m + 1, or m^2 + 2m + 1.
