Because glass have molecules that are more closely packed together than water therefore when gaining heat the glass would gain heat faster and therefore exapand faster.

Helppppo please help help I have no time quick I’m in the exam
Sunny_sXe [5.5K]

Answer:

D

Explanation:

calculate effective resistance of the resistors

= 80 + 120

= 200

overall resistance = 48 ohms

so overall current flowing through circuit

I = V / R

I = 12 / 200

I = 0.06 A

since circuit is in series, current is same at every point so...

potential difference across 80 = R x I

= 80 x 0.06

answer is potential difference = 4.8 V

hope this helps

The force of repulsion between to like charge table tennis balls is 8.2 X 10 ^-7 N if the charge on the two objects a 6.7 X10^-9
Svetllana [295]

Answer:

0.702 m

Explanation:

The magnitude of the electrostatic force between two charged objects is given by Coulomb's Law:

F=k\frac{q_1 q_2}{r^2}

where

k is the Coulomb's constant

q1, q2 are the two charges

r is the separation between the objects

And the force is:

- Attractive if the two charges have opposite signs (+-)

- Repulsive if the two charges have same sign (++ or --)

In this problem we have:

F=8.2\cdot 10^{-7}N is the force between the two balls

q_1 = q_2 = 6.7\cdot 10^{-9}C is the charge on each ball

Solving for r, we find the separation between the balls:

r=\sqrt{\frac{kq_1 q_2}{F}}=\sqrt{\frac{(9\cdot 10^9)(6.7\cdot 10^{-9})^2}{8.2\cdot 10^{-7}}}=0.702 m

Caroline, a piano tuner, suspects that a piano's B4 key is out of tune. Normally, she would play the key along with her B4 tunin
Sergeeva-Olga [200]

Answer:

455.9 Hz, Flat

Explanation:

The beat frequency is basically the difference between the frequency of the B4 note and the frequency of the A4 tuning fork. This means the B4 note is 15.9 Hz off of 440Hz, and 67.4 Hz off of 525.3 Hz. As B4 is between the two notes, it would make sense to find its frequency by adding 15.9 to 440 and subtracting 67.4 from 523.3, both if which give us a frequency 455.9 Hz for the B4 key. This is because the note doesn't change for the different turning forks so both differences should result in the same frequency. Because the note should be 493.9 frequency but instead has a frequency of 455.9 Hz, it is flat because the frequency is lower than it is supposed to be.

Hope this helped!
