Hello!

You can separate the image into two shapes, a trapezoid and a parallelogram

To find the area of a trapezoid you use the equation

\frac{a+b}{2} h

a is base 1
b is base 2
h is height

Put in the values you know

\frac{11 + 8}{2}  * 4

Add

\frac{19}{2}  * 4

Divide

9.5 * 4 = 38

Next you find the area of the parallelogram

To find the you use the equation

bh

b is base
h is height

Put in the values you know

11 * 8.2 = 90.2

Add the two areas together to get the area of the whole shape

90.2 + 38 = 128.2

The answer is 128.2

Hope this helps!

Answer:

The slopes are

m1=\dfrac{2}{5}, m2=-\dfrac{5}{2}

Therefore, the equations are equations of <u>  Perpendicular Lines .</u>

Step-by-step explanation:

Given:

y=\dfrac{2}{5}\times x + 1    ......................Equation ( 1 )

5x+2y=-4\\\\\therefore y = \dfrac{-5}{2}\times x-2   ..............Equation ( 2 )

To Find:

Slope of equation 1 = ?

Slope of equation 2 = ?

Solution:

On comparing with slope point form

y=mx+c

Where,

m = Slope

c = y-intercept

We get

Step 1.

Slope of equation 1 = m1 = \dfrac{2}{5}

Step 2.

Slope of equation 1 = m2 = -\dfrac{5}{2}

Step 3.

Product of Slopes = m1 × m2 = \dfrac{2}{5}\times -\dfrac{5}{2}=-1

Product of Slopes = m1 × m2 = -1

Which is the condition for Perpendicular Lines

The slopes are

m1=\dfrac{2}{5},m2=-\dfrac{5}{2}

Therefore, the equations are equations of <u>  Perpendicular Lines . </u>

Two communication mask 2km apart and directly north and south of each other. Ubi 's home is 500 m from one and directly east. Ho
pochemuha

Answer: 2061.55\ m

Step-by-step explanation:

Given

The two communication mask are 2 km apart

Ubi's home is 500 m east of one of the mask

Suppose its distance from the other's is x

From the figure, we can write

\Rightarrow x^2=2000^2+500^2\\\Rightarrow x^2=4\times 10^6+25\times 10^4\\\Rightarrow x=2061.55\ m\ \text{or}\ 2.061\ km
