Can you tell me how they got the answer 35 sq. answer the one with the L looking shape
zloy xaker [14]

Answer: No direct answer needed because it is already given.

Step-by-step explanation: What I usually do with shapes like this is break it up into two shapes. And for this particular shape, it's relatively easy. I spilt the shape into a rectangle and square and went from there. Since the rectangle width is 3, and can subtract that to 5 and get 2, which tells us that the length and width for the square is 4 and 2. Three times nine is twenty-seven. Add that to 8 (which is the result of 4 times 2) and it equals to 35. Hope that helped! :D

ASHA 777 [7]

Hello,

Let's x then number of students.

x is divisible by 12,15,18 thus by 180 (lcm)

x=180*k is a square

2²*3²*5*k= a square ==> k=5

x=180*5=900

Proof:

900/12=75

900/15=60

900/18=50

900=30²

What is the slope of a line that is perpendicular to the line whose equation is ax+by=c?
Oksi-84 [34.3K]

The perpendicular line will have a slope of b/a.

To find this, we first have to solve our equation for slope intercept form.

ax + by = c ----> subtract ax

by = -ax + c ----> divide by b

y = -a/bx + c/b.

So we know the slope of this equation to be -a/b. Since perpendicular lines have opposite and reciprocal slopes, we know we can simply flip the fraction and make it a negative to get the new slope of b/a.
