MATH URGENT
maks197457 [2]

{x}^{2}   + 4x - 12 = 0 \\  {x}^{2}  + 4x + 4 - 4 - 12  = 0\\   {(x + 2)}^{2}  - 16 = 0 \\ x =   -   +  \sqrt{16}  - 2 \\ x =   + \:  or - 4 - 2 \\ x =  - 6 \:  \: x = 2
- subtract the 12 from both sides so that it becomes the last constant term in the quadratic equation which should now equal 0.
- take the 4x
- half the coefficient of 4 (2)
- square it (4)
- add it to the equation (+4)
- subtract it from the equation (-4)
- factorise the square (x+2)^2 expands to (x^2 + 4x + 2) as {a+b}^2={a^2 + ab + ba + b^2}
- now the equation is in turning point form.
- to find x, add 16 and square root 16 and (x+2)
- subtract 2 from positive or negative 4 (as -4^2 and 4^2 both equal 16).
- This should give you two values for x, -6 and 2.

HURRY!!!<br> a<br> Undefined<br> b<br> Negative<br> c<br> Zero<br> d<br> Positive
Fiesta28 [93]

Answer:

A, undefined

Step-by-step explanation:

The general rule is that vertical lines are undefined slope, because there's literally no change in x values. The vertical line test also fails, meaning there is no slope. Horizontal lines have a slope of 0, while vertical lines don't own any numbers that are important except for x-axis numbers.

If you do y2-y1 over x2-x1, you literally get 1/0 which is nothing. 0/1 = 0, but 1/0 is nothing.

Hope this helps!

A carton in the shape of a cube measuring 8 inches tall is filled with colored plastic cubes measuring 1 inch across each face.
Ksenya-84 [330]
Volume of a Cube = a³ ( a x a x a)
A = 8. 8³ = 8 x 8 x 8 = 512.
The cubes are one inch across so. 1 x 1 x 1 = 1.
512 x 0.25 = 128.
It would cost $128 to buy all the cubes.
Hope this helps!
