Ans. The correct answer is: option (a) i.e. (a) tB = tC = tD

Since when we calculate the relative velocity of a particle with respect to another particle along the same line, then the particles can never have an equal velocity and therefore the time taken by the particles will be different and not same. Therefore, all the particles will reach at different time interval. So statement (a) is incorrect.

Tea in a kettle cools slowly but cools faster in cup

skad [1K]

Explanation:

Tea cools faster in a cup than in a kettle because when it is on a cup it is more spread out so the cooler air around it is able to cool down each molecule faster than if it were in a kettle which is cooling down slower because the tea is not a spread out

A rock falls for 1.43 seconds how far did it fall? The falls's velocity is an acceleration of -9.81 m/s2
BartSMP [9]

Answer:

s = -0.100 \  m

Explanation:

Generally from kinematics equations we have that

          s = ut + \frac{1}{2}gt^2

Here u is the initial velocity of the rock and the value is 0 m/s given that there was no information that it was in motion before the fall

substituting 1.43 s for t and -9.8m/s^2 for g we have that

         s = 0 *1.43 + \frac{1}{2}(-9.8)*(0.143)^2

=>     s = -0.100 \  m

The negative sign show that the displacement is in the direction of the negative y-axis
