Let the first number be represented by x and the second 10+3x
x+3x+10=70                                           10+3x=10+3(15)=10+45=55
4x+10=70                                            the two numbers are 15 and 55
4x+10-10=70-10
4x=60
4x/4=60/4
x=15

Answer:

  y=\sqrt[3]{x+3}+3

Step-by-step explanation:

The S-shaped curve is that of the cube root function (choices C or D). The parent function has its critical point at the origin. Here, that has been moved 3 units left and 3 units up.

Replacing x with x-a will move a function's graph to the right by "a" units. Here, we have a=-3, so we expect to see ∛(x-(-3)) = ∛(x+3). The graph of that is moved up 3 units by adding 3 to the function value. This gives ...

  y = ∛(x+3) +3 . . . . . matches choice D

Presented below are the components in determining cost of goods sold. Determine the missing amounts.
vitfil [10]

Answer:

a) $190,000

b) $70,000

c) $65,000

d) $81,000

e) $60,000

f) $133,000

Step-by-step explanation:

Please refer to the attached table where known and unknowns are given as per question.

(a) Costs of Goods available for sale:

The amount of cost of goods available for sale is calculated by adding the purchases and beginning inventory.

Costs of Goods available for sale = Beginning Inventory + Purchases

Costs of Goods available for sale = $80,000 + $110,000

Costs of Goods available for sale = $190,000

(b) Ending Inventory:

The amount of ending inventory is calculated by subtracting the cost of goods sold from the costs of goods available for sale.

Ending Inventory = costs of goods available for sale - cost of goods sold

Ending Inventory = $190,000 - $120,000

Ending Inventory = $70,000

(c) Purchases:

The amount of purchases is calculated by subtracting the beginning inventory from the cost of goods available for sale.

Purchases = costs of goods available for sale - beginning inventory

Purchases = $114,000 - $49,000

Purchases = $65,000

(d) Cost of Goods sold:

The amount of cost of goods sold is calculated by subtracting the ending inventory from the cost of goods available for sale.

Cost of Goods sold = costs of goods available for sale - ending inventory

Cost of Goods sold = $114,000 - $33,000

Cost of Goods sold = $81,000

(e) Beginning Inventory:

The amount of beginning inventory is calculated by subtracting  the purchases from the cost of goods available for sale.

Beginning Inventory = costs of goods available for sale - Purchases

Beginning Inventory = $160,000  - $100,000

Beginning Inventory = $60,000

(f) Cost of Goods sold:

The amount of cost of goods sold is calculated by subtracting the ending inventory from the cost of goods available for sale.

Cost of Goods sold = costs of goods available for sale - ending inventory

Cost of Goods sold = $160,000 - $27,000

Cost of Goods sold = $133,000

Answer:

f(-2) = 4

Step-by-step explanation:

The function has three definitions depending on the value of x.

You are looking for the value of the function at x = -2.

-2 is in the interval x <= -1, which is the first line of the definition of the function.

We use the first line of the definition of the function.

f(x) = -2x for x <= -1

f(-2) = -2(-2) = 4

Answer: f(-2) = 4
