She has 6 quarters, 140 pennies, and 30 dimes.

6 x 25 = $1.50
140 = $1.40
30 x 10 = $3.10
$1.40 + $3.10 = $4.50
$4.50 + $1.50 = $6

Write a division problem that will have a 2 digit quotient and another division problem that will have a 3 digit quotient. Expla
o-na [289]

Answer:

\frac{240}{4} =60

\frac{1800}{3} =600

Step-by-step explanation:

1.  The result should by a 2 digit number.

So, I fix a two digit number first, say 60.

Then, I multiplied it by some random integer, say 4 and got 240.

Now, 240 is my dividend and 4 is my divisor.

My division problem is:

\frac{240}{4} =60

2.  The result should be a 3 digit number.

So, I fix a three digit number first, say 600.

Then, I multiplied it by some random integer, say 3 and got 1800.

Now, 1800 is my dividend and 3 is my divisor.

My division problem is:

\frac{1800}{3} =600

If a and b are two angles in standard position in Quadrant I, find cos(a-b) for the given function values. sin a=3/5and cos b=12
goldfiish [28.3K]

The identity in question is

cos(a - b) = cos(a) cos(b) + sin(a) sin(b)

so that

cos(a - b) = 12/37 cos(a) + 3/5 sin(b)

Since both a and b lie in the first quadrant, both cos(a) and sin(b) will be positive. Then it follows from the Pythagorean identity,

cos²(x) + sin²(x) = 1,

that

cos(a) = √(1 - sin²(a)) = 4/5

and

sin(b) = √(1 - cos²(b)) = 35/37

So,

cos(a - b) = 12/37 • 4/5 + 3/5 • 35/37 = 153/185

A high school choir had a car wash to raise money, the number of trucks washed was 5 fewer than twice the number of cars washed.
Aneli [31]

Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

ok so, we know they washed 34.

x-5=Trucks washed [19.5-5=(14.5)]

x=cars washed (19.5)

x+x-5=34

2x-5=34

+5   +5

2x=39

divide 2 both sides

x=19.5

To check work: 19.5+14.5=34!

Hope this helps :)
