You move like terms to their side, so 20 would go with four but you have to change the sign. In the end it would be 5x-3x=4-20
you subtract 5x-3x which is 2x and 4-20 which is -16. From there you move 2x to the other side by dividing and it'll give you -8. X=-8

Darrell Frazier owns a home that has a replacement value of $87,500. He purchased a homeowner’s policy for 80 percent of the hou
levacccp [35]

Answer:

<u>According to the table, the type of construction and the fire protection class, Darrell will pay US$ 213 for the annual insurance premium. </u>

Step-by-step explanation:

1. Let's check and use the information given to solve the question:

Replacement value of Darrell's home = US$ 87,500

Value of the homeowner's policy = 80% of Darrell's house

Type of Darrell's home construction = Brick

Fire protection class = 3

2. Let's find the exact amount of the insurance coverage:

Amount of insurance coverage = 80% of Darrell's house

Amount of insurance coverage = 80% * 87,500

Amount of insurance coverage = 0.8 * 87,500

Amount of insurance coverage = 70,000

The amount of insurance coverage is US$ 70,000

<u>According to the table, the type of construction and the fire protection class, Darrell will pay US$ 213 for the annual premium.</u>

PLEASE ANSWER WITH AN EXPLANATION! THANK YOU
lubasha [3.4K]

Answer:

\large\boxed{A=153\ cm^2}

Step-by-step explanation:

<em>Look at the picture.</em>

We have

square with side length a = 9

trapezoid with base lengths b₁ = 9 and b₂ = 6 and the height length h = 6

right triangle with legs lengths l₁ = 3 + 6 = 9 and l₂ = 6

The formula of an area of a square

A=a^2

Substitute:

A_I=9^2=81\ cm^2

The formula of an area of a trapezoid:

A=\dfrac{b_1+b_2}{2}\cdot h

Substitute:

A_{II}=\dfrac{9+6}{2}\cdot6=\dfrac{15}{2\!\!\!\!\diagup_1}\cdot6\!\!\!\!\diagup^3=(15)(3)=45\ cm^2

The formula of an area of a right triangle:

A=\dfrac{l_1l_2}{2}

Substitute:

A_{III}=\dfrac{(9)(6)}{2}=\dfrac{54}{2}=27\ cm^2

The area of the shape:

A=A_I+A_{II}+A_{III}\\\\A=81+45+27=153\ cm^2

The function(t)--4.87+18.75 is used to model the height of an object projected in the air, where h() is the height in
NNADVOKAT [17]

The domain and range of the given function are equal to (0, 3.85) and (0, 18.75) respectively.

<h3>How to calculate the domain of the function?</h3>

In this exercise, you're given the following function h(t) = -4.87t² + 18.75t. Next, we would equate the function to zero (0) to determine its domain as follows:

0= -4.87t² + 18.75t.

4.87t(-t + 3.85) = 0

t = 0 or t = 3.85.

Therefore, the domain is 0 ≤ t ≤ 3.85 or (0, 3.85).

<h3>How to calculate the range of the function?</h3>

h(t) = -4.87t² + 18.75t

h(t) = -4.87(t² - 3.85t + 3.85 - 3.85)

h(t) = -4.87(t - 1.925)² + 18.05

Therefore, the range is 0 ≤ h ≤ 18.05 or (0, 18.75).
