After observing (you can repeat the process more than once), write a general statement explaining how reducing the volume change
ad-work [718]

Answer:

The correct answer is that both molecular motion, pressure and temperature increase as volume reduces.

Explanation:

A reduction in volume changes the molecular motion, temperature and pressure of the system. When the volume of the container decreases, this causes the pressure to increase, the temperature to increase and the molecular motion to increase. This is because a liquid and a solid are incompressible, so by reducing the volume of a gas, the molecules increase their movement as the temperature of the system increases, which is due to the increased pressure applied to reduce the volume of the system.

The diagram shows the potential energy changes for a reaction pathway. (10 points)
expeople1 [14]

Answer:

the diagram illustrates an exothermic reaction , because if you look at the graph it starts low than goes high than fall not to far from the top , you can determine how the total change an endothermic reaction is positive because the products are higher than the reactants and a exothermic reaction is negative because the reactants are higher than the products.

Can someone please help me out? Its due by midnight tonight!!!!
Sveta_85 [38]

The pH of the solution is obtained as 2.23.

What is the pKa?

The pKa shows the extent to which an acid is dissociated in solution. Now we have;

        HCOOH(aq)   +    H2O(l) ⇔  HCOO-(aq)    +  H30+(aq)

Ka = [HCOO-] [ H30+]/[ HCOOH]

But =  [HCOO-] = [ H30+] = x

Ka = x^2/[HCOOH]

x = √Ka [HCOOH]

x = √0.19 *  1.8×10−4

x = 5.8 * 10^-3

pH = - log (5.8 * 10^-3)

pH = 2.23
