Answer: The Cannon-Bard theory proposes that emotions and arousal occur at the same time. The James-Lange theory proposes the emotion is the result of arousal. Schachter and Singer's two-factor model proposes that arousal and cognition combine to create emotion.

Answer:

The Cannon-Brand Theory argues that we experience physiological arousal and emotion at the same time. The theory gives more attention to the role of thought or outward behavior than did James-Lang. He found that emotion occurs even if the brain was not connected to information about bodily responses, which is similar.

What is the basis for the delay between the atrial and ventricular contractions in a normal heart?
earnstyle [38]

The main responsible for the delay among the atrial and ventricular contractions is the action potential conduction velocity of the AV node cells. If the atria and ventricles contract simultaneously, atria cannot give any help in filling the ventricles, which is needed, especially in those with stiff ventricles as in the elderly. Hence atria have to contract first and then the ventricles.

Discuss the purpose of guard cells and stomata on the leaves of plants.
BabaBlast [244]
Guard cells are located in the leaf epidermis and pairs of guard cells surround and form stomatal pores, which regulate CO2 influx from the atmosphere into the leaves for photosynthetic carbon fixation.

Stomatal guard cells also regulate water loss of plants via transpiration to the atmosphere.
