There is a surgical practice of medicine and there is a medical practice of medicine.  Medicines are poisons which when taken in a small amount help you get the benefit of the poison.  Taken in a larger amount, all medicines can kill you.  Also, medicines have a purpose and a use along with interactions with other chemicals in your blood and many medicines need proper organ function else you get overdosed - example your kidneys need to be working well for you to be able to pee out certain antibiotics like Levaquin.  Else the levels will build up and cause toxicity or poisoning.

mixas84 [53]
According to a 2018 article written by Dr. Mark Stibich, suicide is the 2nd cause accounting for 18% of deaths among people age 15-24.

According to the CDC's 2007 statistics, homicide was the 2nd leading aide of death among people age 15-24.

According to the National Institute of Mental Health 2017 statistics, suicide was the second leading cause of death among individuals between the ages of 15 and 34.

According to the Population Reference Bureau (June 2016), suicides becsme the second cause of death among teenagers in the United States, surpassing homicide deaths.

I would say suicide is the answer, but it will depend on what year's statistics your class reference material is using.

Hope this helps! :)

MrRissso [65]

Answer: a) drive-reduction

Explanation: Homeostasis is basically the body's need to maintain stability necessary for survival despite changes in the world outside. It is the body's unconscious tendency to maintain internal states (temperature, sleep, thirst, hunger) at stable levels.

Drive-reduction theory, which is a major theory of motivation, suggests that when there is an Homeostatic imbalance, needs are created, people perform actions (i.e their behaviour changes) to restore the body's ideal state, because of the need to restore balance.
