<span>i think you mean discriminant in part A  </span>
Δ=b^2-4ac=256-4*2*3=256-24=232
it is positive so it has two answers.
Part B
you can find Δ
Δ=b^2-4ac=9-4*9*(-2)=81
x1=-3+9/18=6/18=1/3
x2=-3-9/18=-12/18=-2/3

7. Triangle RPQ is similar to triangle WPV. Find the missing length PW.
azamat

Answer:

PW = 11

Step-by-step explanation:

Given that the triangles are similar then the ratio of corresponding sides are equal, that is

\frac{RQ}{WV} = \frac{RP}{PW} ← substitute values

\frac{12}{6} = \frac{22}{PW} ( cross- multiply )

12PW = 132 ( divide both sides by 12 )

PW = 11
