Cellular respiration is a process involving series of metabolic reactions in cells to convert biochemical energy stored in food/nutrients into usable energy (ATP). This process is also accompanied with the release of waste of products.
During cellular respiration, glucose (C6H12O6) is broken down in the presence of oxygen to form carbondioxide (CO2), water (H2O) and Energy (ATP). The equation for this is shown below
C6H12O6 + 6O2 ⇒ 6CO2 + 6H2O + ATP
As seen from the reaction above, C6H12O6 is a reactant in cellular respiration and not a product
