What does mr. underwood mean about tom's death?

English
1 answer:
nadya68 [22]3 years ago
7 0
In his editorial Mr. Underwood calls Tom's death a "senseless slaughter of a songbird"; this of course ties directly into the title of the novel. Tom is an innocent mockingbird killed by ignorance, injustice and bigotry. Mr. Underwood is a man who lives by his own rules. Printing this, however, puts his business and himself in jeopardy. Mr. Underwood feels very strongly about this travesty of justice.

What are some ways that scientist have attempted to understand weather conditions and how they affect the prairies?
Ilya [14]

Effects of Weather Conditions on Prairires

Weather conditions are atmospheric conditions which generally comprises of temperature, wind, clouds and precipitation.

People generally are used to mild weather conditions experienced throughout the course of a day.

However, there are severe weather conditions such as

 • Hurricanes
 • Tornadoes
 • Blizzards
 • Droughts

 Prairies

Prairies are ecosystems which are regarded as aspects of savannas, and shrub lands, biome, temperate grasslands by ecologists. This assumption are based on identical temperate climates, moderate rainfall, and a composition of grasses, herbs, and shrubs, instead of trees, as compared to the predominant vegetation.

Scientist have been able to use the aspects of weather conditions such as temperature, wind, clouds and precipitation to further understand how Prairies will be affected in coming decades.

It is projected that summers will become warmer and drier and that winters and springs will become warmer and wetter in prairies located in Canada.

There will be swift swings between wet and dry conditions and major weather events such as heat waves, droughts, floods will become more common.

What does NOT describe America following the abolition of slavery
Montano1993 [528]

I would say that being anti-racist does not describe America after the abolition of slavery. For decades, up until maybe the 60's African American's were mistreated with things like Jim Crow Laws, that were stopped some time in 1964. While this had ended segregation it most definitely did not end racism. Even now hate groups, like the KKK, are very prominent in America, with over 1,000 recorded in 2018.
