D. 22.4 L because the "standard molar volume is the volume occupied by one mole of any gas at STP. "(standard temperature and pressure). The standard temperature is 273 K or 0 <span>° Celsius. "Standard pressure is 1 atmosphere or 760 mm Hg (also called "torr"). 1 mole of any gas at STP occupies 22.4 liters of volume"</span>

How many grams of 2.5% "h" cream should be mixed with360 grams of 0.25% "h" cream to make a 1% "h" cream?
Leona [35]
Answer is: 180 <span>grams of 2.5% "h" cream should be mixed.
</span>ω₁ = 2.5% ÷ 100% = 0.025.
ω₂ = 0.25% ÷ 100% = 0.0025.
ω₃ = 1% ÷ 100% = 0.01.
m₂ = 360 g.
m₃ = m₁ + 360 g.
m₁ = ?.
ω₁ · m₁ + ω₂ · m₂ = ω₃ · m₃.
0.025 · m₁ + 0.0025 · 360 g = 0.01 · (m₁ + 360 g).
0.025 · m₁ + 0.9 g = 0.01 · m₁ + 3.6 g.
0.015 · m₁ = 2.7 g.
m₁ = 180 g.

If 146.5 g of chromium(lll) chlorate decomposes, what mass of oxygen can be produced?
Vinil7 [7]

Answer:

The Equation for this reaction is as follow,

                               2 Cr(ClO₃)₃    →    2 CrCl₃  +  9 O₂

According to eq,

      604.68 g (2mole) of Cr(ClO₃)₃ produces  =  288 g (9 moles) of O₂

So,

                 146.5 g of Cr(ClO₃)₃ will produce  =  X g of O₂

Solving for X,

                             X  = (146.5 g × 288 g) ÷ 604.68 g

                    X  =  69.77 g of O₂

Explain why some people use the term decimal system as a synonym for the metric system?
Luda [366]

Answer:

The term Decimal is coined from the word Decimus. Decimus is a Latin word which means ‘tenth’.

The Decimal system is a system of numbering that is based on multiples of tens. It is flexible and easy to convert from one metric to another.

The preference of the term over the Metric System is because the word Metric is related more to the measurement of lengths if we looked at the origin of the word which is French.

Cheers!
