slope = 3

to calculate the slope m use the ' gradient formula '

m = \frac{y_{2-y_{1} } }{x_{2-x_{1} } }

with (x_{1},y_{1}) = (2, -5 ) and (x_{2},y_{2}) = (4, 1)

m= \frac{1+5}{4-2} = \frac{6}{2} = 3
