Bacteria is important to the nitrogen cycle because it breaks nitrogen down that is in the soil into a more simpler form that plants can use.

If bacteria didn't, plants wouldn't be able to intake the nitrogen and do photosynthesis, so we wouldn't get oxygen.

An impulse that travels inward from a sensory receptor to the spinal cord, then outward to a muscle is called a(n) _____.
sergiy2304 [10]
The answer is D. So as to take the shortest time to react to stimuli, most sensory neurons are looped through the spinal cord to motor neurons. Following a reflex action, the signal is later passed to the brain, from the spinal cord, for the signal to be analyzed. A reflex arc is divided into somatic and autonomic reflex arcs. The former is connected to outer muscles while the later to inner organs.

Suppose that species A evolves and species B evolves in response to the changes in Species
jonny [76]
Natural selection is when species learn to adapt to their environment. They could (1) differential reproduction, that is, not all organisms are able to reproduce to their fullest capacity because nature cannot simply sustain it and (2) acquire genes, that is heredity. Certain characteristics of organisms tend to survive if it continues to strive. If it survives, this trait is passed down to the next generations forgetting the other traits but only the one who could survive the environment. Therefore it is true that natural selection is when ‘organisms inherit advantageous traits, and tend to reproduce more successfully than other organisms’
