Meiosis is a kind of cell division. it's used to reduce half of the chromosomes and prodouce 4 gamete cells, which we call these cells haploid. for example, it is used in human reproduction, for the sperm and ovum, in order to have a sexual reproduction. the offspring of them are genetically non identical to the parent.
