length = x+2 
width = 2x-5

Multiply these
x+2(2x-5) 
x + 4x - 10
5x - 10 = 56
   

5x - 10 = 56
     + 10   + 10

5x = 66

x = 11.20

then step 2, plug in each number in to the quadtratic formula. from there calculate using basic algebraic rules
