The electric force between two objects with charge q1 and q2 is given by
F=k_e  \frac{q_1 q_2}{d^2}
where ke is the Coulomb's constant while d is the distance between the two charges.

We can see that the force F scales as the inverse of the square of the distance: \frac{1}{d^2}. Therefore, when the two objects move apart from each other, the distance increases and therefore the force between them decreases.

The sun is 150,000,000 km from earth; its diameter is 1,400,000 km. A student uses a 5.2-cm-diameter lens with f = 10 cm to cast
Elenna [48]

Answer:

The paper is placed on the focus of the lens then we get the sharp image.

Explanation:

Given that,

Object distance = 150000000 km

Diameter = 1400000 km

Diameter of lens = 5.2 cm

Focal length = 10 cm

We need to calculate the image distance

Using formula of lens

\dfrac{1}{v}=\dfrac{1}{f}-\dfrac{1}{u}

\dfrac{1}{v}=\dfrac{1}{10}+\dfrac{1}{15\times10^{7}}

\dfrac{1}{v}=\dfrac{1}{1.0\times10^{-4}}+\dfrac{1}{15\times10^{7}}

Here,

v=0.0001\ km

v=1.0\times 10^{-4}\ km

Hence, The paper is placed on the focus of the lens then we get the sharp image.

Andreas93 [3]

Answer:

12 \frac{m}{s}

Explanation:

  • The time starts when the front of the train first gets on the bridge, and when the back end clears the bridge.
  • Thus we are calculating the distance of 600 meters in 50 seconds.

600m \div 50s = 12 \frac{m}{s}

Which of the following statements regarding heuristics and empiricism is true? A. Heuristics allows a priori theoretical concep
WITCHER [35]

Answer: <em>Option (A) is correct.</em>

Explanation:

A heuristic is  often referred to as an approach to solving problems or discovery that subjects a method, which is considered to be practical although might not be guaranteed to be perfect, optimal, or rational, but sufficient for reaching to goal.

Empiricism is known as a theory under which one can states that knowledge can only be imparted from the sensory experience. It is considered to be one of the main notions underlying in epistemology, i.e. known as the study of human knowledge, alongside skepticism and rationalism.

Noise-canceling headphones are an application of destructive interference. Each side of the headphones uses a microphone to pick
exis [7]
The question for this problem would be the minimum headphone delay, in ms, that will cancel this noise.
The 200 Hz. period = (1/200) = 0.005 sec. It will need to be delayed by 1/2, so 0.005/2, that is = 0.0025 sec. So converting sec to ms, will give us the delay of:Delay = 2.5 ms.
