 For question A
N is 20, Because 3 * 4 is 12 then multiply 4 to 5 too, and get 20
For question B it is 12 cause 7 * 6 is 42, then multiply it to 2 too, and it is 12
For Question C it is 1/2 = 50/100

A: \frac{5}{3} = \frac{N}{12}
Multiply both sides by 12
Answer: N = 20

B: \frac{7}{2} = \frac{42}{N}
Multiply both sides by 2, 7 = \frac{84}{N}
Multiply both sides by N, 7N = 84
Divide both sides by 7,
Answer: N=12

C: \frac{N}{2}= \frac{50}{N}
Multiply both sides by 2, N = \frac{100}{N}
Multiply both sides by N, N^{2} = 100
Simplify,
Answer: N = 10 , -10

Hope I helped you!

I am having difficulties solving this problem someone pls help.
igor_vitrenko [27]

Answer:

Each time, the x is being multiplied by -3 to result in the output.

So for every x input, multiply by -3.

For the y output for 15, you would divide by -3 to find the input x

For example, when 7 is the input, multiply by -3, and the output y would result in -21.

What is the slope of the line that goes through (2, 5) and (-6, -2) ?
alexira [117]
Answer:
slope = 7/8

Explanation:
Slope of the line can be calculated using the following equation:
slope = \frac{y2 - y1}{x2 - x1}

The two points given are:
(2,5) representing (x1 , y1)
(-6,-2) representing (x2 , y2)

Substitute with the points in the above equation to get the slope as follows:
slope = \frac{-2 - 5}{-6 - 2} = 7/8

Hope this helps :)
