Answer:

Subtle reminder

Explanation:

The concept of subtle reminder is based on the fact that,  episodic memories(memories of events that occur everyday ) can be adjusted, revised, or changed   by a reminder of the events that lead to it.Thus subtle reminders usually activate memories of events  in human subconscious minds and interferes with emotions and behaviour of the subjects.

Therefore when Simon was reminded of his 'hurt back' of days ago, the subtle  reminder activated   episodic memories of the pain experienced during the period, and  this  interferes with his behaviour onward.

Why did the “Big Three” disagree about the best course of action to take at the peace conference?
pav-90 [236]

During the peace conference U.S. President Woodrow Wilson prioritized his 14 Points as a framework for the peace plan.  He had to concede with the other people for the sake of peace.  British Priminister Lloyd George wanted to ensure France’s security but he did not want severe sanctions against Germany. French leader George Clemenceau on the other hand wanted to ensure that Germany won’t invade them again.  He also wanted heavy penalties on Germany.
