Answer:

The correct answer is: A person who believes in reincarnation would hope to do so as a member in a higher caste.

Explanation:

The concept of reincarnation is part of the belief system of major religions in the world, but particularly the Hindu, Sikh, Buddhist, and other religions. In essence, what reincarnation states is that the non-physical, non-organical, parts of a living being return to physical, material existence, through the reaquirement of a physical new body. Basically, the soul, or essence, of the living being, reincarnates in a new body. Particularly in countries like India, where the topic of castes is so important, and so serious, the people who belong to higher castes enjoy many more benefits than those in lower ones. This is why, people who believe in reincarnation, especially in India, wish they could reincarnate into something better, which would be becoming a member of the higher castes.

Do term limits seem to have more advantages or disadvantages? Defend your answer.
Inessa [10]
“Disadvantages. In the first years of a new nonprofit, it may seem counterproductive to implement term limits for board members. Serving on the board of a start-up nonprofit that lacks resources is rarely prestigious and is typically labor intensive since most start-ups lack staff. It can be difficult to find qualified directors who possess the requisite passion for the cause, understanding of the mission, and willingness to work. Another disadvantage of term limits is that the organization will spend more time and resources to recruit and educate new directors and will lose the group cohesion that comes with directors who have worked together for a long time. Additionally, the organization may lose directors who are fervent supporters of the organization and the mission.

Advantages. While the above points may lead incorporators to create a board without term limits, it is important to remember that there are also many positive aspects of term limits that may outweigh the negative aspects. For example, an organization with term limits may be better able to attract active and involved members of the community who are not able to make a long term commitment to the organization. Term limits allow busy executives and community leaders to serve the organization and bring fresh new ideas that they may not otherwise have been able to share had they been required to make a longer-term commitment.”

Maya can't find her red sandals. Tamiko is wearing red sandals. Therefore, Tamiko stole Maya's shoes. This is an example of
bazaltina [42]

Answer:

This is an example of masked-man fallacy.

Explanation:

The masked-man is a fallacy in which two people or objects are mistakenly considered to be either identical or completely different. The most common example used to explain it is the following:

I know who Joshua is.

I don't know who the masked man is.

Therefore, Joshua is not the masked man.

In the example above, Joshua and the masked man are considered different, unrelated. In the situation we are analyzing here, the opposite happens. To reach the conclusion that Tamiko stole Maya's shoes, we are making the huge mistake of not considering any other possibility. Tamiko could very well have an identical-looking pair of shoes; Maya could have lent Tamiko her shoes and forgotten about it, and so on. Therefore, assuming that the shoes are the same, that they belong to Maya and have been stolen, is a result of wrong reasoning and an example of masked-man fallacy.

What are things you would do if you were elected president
jeka57 [31]
I would change certain laws that I thought were incorrect or unfair (though I would have to get permission from Congress first). Also, I would look at the people (citizen's of the US)'s view on things and I would help everyone to be somewhat satisfied. It would take a lot of work, however.
