Let's say you have John, Mary, and Ben. Let's say they have ONE chewy worm left, and they want to split it, and the worm has 5 segments, Green, Yellow, Red, Blue, and Purple.

Now, it can go like this:
CATEGORY 1: UNEVENLY
Way 1:
John gets the Purple and Blue
Mary gets the Red
Ben gets the Yellow and Green

Way 2:
John gets the Purple
Mary gets the Blue, Red, and Yellow
Ben gets the Green

Catagory 2: Evenly
Way 1:
You can cut the 5 segments each into 3 even pieces, this way there are 15 total. Then divide up the 15 by giving 5 each to John, Mary, and Ben.

Call them a, b, c

I will put a number after each letter to indicate how many segments each got
one possible arrangment is
a,1
b,1
c,3

another way is this
a,1

c,2

or even
a,2

A random sample of 60 mathematics majors spent an average of $200.00 for textbooks for a term, with a standard deviation of $22.
tangare [24]

Answer:

20 +/- $6.74

= ( $13.26, $26.74)

The 90% confidence interval for the difference in average amounts spent on textbooks (math majors - English majors) is ( $13.26, $26.74)

Step-by-step explanation:

Confidence interval can be defined as a range of values so defined that there is a specified probability that the value of a parameter lies within it.

The confidence interval of a statistical data can be written as.

x1-x2 +/- margin of error

x1-x2 +/- z(√(r1^2/n1 + r2^2/n2)

Given that;

Mean x1 = $200

x2 = $180

Standard deviation r1 = $22.50

r2 = $18.30

Number of samples n1 = 60

n2 = 40

Confidence interval = 90%

z(at 90% confidence) = 1.645

Substituting the values we have;

$200-$180 +/-1.645(√(22.5^2/60 +18.3^2/40)

$20 +/- 6.744449847374

$20 +/- $6.74

= ( $13.26, $26.74)

The 90% confidence interval for the difference in average amounts spent on textbooks (math majors - English majors) is ( $13.26, $26.74)

If the Williams family has a monthly income of $3000 how much do they spend on clothing and entertainment
MA_775_DIABLO [31]
$360

To solve this, multiply 3000 by 12%.

3000 x 12%

To convert percentages to decimals, divide them by 100 and remove the % sign.
So... 12% = 0.12

= 3000 x 0.12
= 360

Is 2yx – 3y + 2x = 0 a linear function or not a linear function
g100num [7]

is a linear function because It forms a straight line or represents the equation for the straight line

It has only one degree. Or we can also define it as an equation having the maximum degree 1.

All these equations form a straight line in XY plane. These lines can be extended to any direction but in a straight form.

The general representation of linear equation is;

y = mx +c

Where x and y are the variables, m is the slope of the line and c is a constant value.
