Answer:

The number of three-point field goals was 7

Step-by-step explanation:

Let

x-----> the number of two-point field goals

y-----> the number of three-point field goals

we know that

x+y=16

x=16-y -----> equation A

2x+3y=39 ----> equation B

substitute equation A in equation B and solve for y

2(16-y)+3y=39

32-2y+3y=39

y=39-32=7

Find the equation of the tangent line to the graph of f(a) = sec(a) at the point (0, 1).
Paladinen [302]
Let the required equation be y = mx + c; where y = 1, m = f'(0), x = 0
f(a) = sec(a)
f'(a) = sec(a)tan(a)
f'(0) = sec(0)tan(0) = 0

y = mx + c
1 = 0(0) + c
c = 1

Therefore, required equation is
y = 1.

The perimeter of a triangle is 50 mm. The lengths of 2 of the sides are 13.5 mm and 14.5 mm. Find the missing length.
Naddik [55]
The missing side length should be 22. Add 13.5 to 14.5 and you should get 28. Subtract 28 from the total perimeter (50) to get 22.
