Suppose Anne invested $x in certificate of deposit and $(6400-x) in bonds.
Interest rate earned in certificate deposit will be:
2/100*x=0.02x
Interest earned in bonds will be:
6/100*(6400-x)
=(364-0.06x)
Total amount of interest earned was 3.75%, this is equal to:
3.75/100*6400
=240
hence we conclude that:
0.02x+(364-0.06x)=240
0.02x+364-0.06x=240
0.02x-0.06x=240-364
-0.04x=-124
x=-124/(-0.04)
x=$3100
hence the amount invested in certificate was $3100 and the amount invested in bonds was (6400-3100)=$3300

Select the correct answer. Which expression represents the series ? 1+5+25+125+625? creating and solving formulas for geometric
Art [367]

Answer:

The given series can be written as

4

∑ (5)^i

i = 0

We know that the series is

1+5+25+125+625

This is equal to

(5)^0 + (5)^1 + (5)^2 + (5)^3 + (5)^4

Thus,

For i from 0 to 4,

We get the general representation.

A retail outlet offers a retention bonus for each shopping season an employee remains with the company. Samuel's starting pay is
miv72 [106K]

Answer:

Samuel's hourly rate after n seasons with the company is f(n)= 12.50 + 0.35*n. After 18 seasons with the company, Samuel's hourly rate will be 18.8 $ /hr.

Step-by-step explanation:

You know that Samuel's starting pay is $12.50/hr and for each season Samuel remains with the company, he receives a $0.35/hr raise.

Samuel's hourly rate after n seasons at the company will then be:

f(n)= 12.50 + 0.35*n

To determine the hourly rate after 18 seasons, you must replace the value n with 18:

f(18)= 12.50 + 0.35*18

Solving you get:

f(18)= 12.50 + 6.3

f(18)= 18.8

Samuel's hourly rate after n seasons with the company is f(n)= 12.50 + 0.35*n. After 18 seasons with the company, Samuel's hourly rate will be 18.8 $ /hr.

SOMEONE PLEASE HELP I will mark you BRAINLIST
Lana71 [14]

Answer:

27 degrees

Step-by-step explanation:

We are given that Angle AEF is 63. We can also see that EAF is a right angle. Since angles in a triangle add up to 180, we can use this to solve for AFE:

Angle AEF + EAF + AFE = 180

63 + 90 + AFE = 180

153 + AFE = 180

AFE = 27

Or we can solve it another way

Since EAF is a right angle, the other angles are complementary (they add up to 90) so...

Angle AEF + AFE = 90

63 + AFE = 90

AFE = 27
