What is the ratio of x to y? 2 x ---- = -------- 3 3x+y

Mathematics

So 2/3=x/(3x+y)
multiply both sides by 3x+y
(2(3x+y))/3=x
(6x+2y)/3=x
multiply by 3
6x+2y=3x
subtract 6x form both sdies
2y=-3x
-3x=2y
the ratio of x to y is
-3:2

garri49 [273]

Answer:

Part 1 , not significant

Part II, significant

Step-by-step explanation:

Given that a  heterozygous white-fruited squash plant is crossed with a yellow-fruited plant, yielding 200 seeds. of these seeds, 110 produce white-fruited plants while only 90 produce yellow-fruited plants

H_0: Both colours are equally likely\\H_a: Both colours are not equally likely

(Two tailed chi square test)

We assume H0 to be true and find out expected

If H0 is true expected would be 100 white and 100 yellow

Chi square = \Sigma \frac{(O-E)^2}{E} \\=\frac{(110-100)^2}{100} +frac{(90-100)^2}{100} \\=2

df = 1

p value = 0.152799

Since p value > 0.05 at 5% level we accept that the colours are equally likely

2)

Here observed are 1100 and 900

Expected 1000 & 1000

df = 1

Chi square = \frac{20000}{100} =200

p value <0.0001

These results are here statistically significant.

Which statement is true?
Maslowich

Answer:

A

Step-by-step explanation:

on the left of the equation, (6^4)^-5 = 6^-20

the right side you add the exponents so it would be (-7-3) =-10

so it would be 6^-10, which is greater than 6^-20

Does anyone know what the slope equation is for this graph. PLz explain if you can. Ty!
yKpoI14uk [10]
<h3>Answer:   y = (-3/2)x+3</h3>

In decimal form, this is y = -1.5x+3

=========================================

Explanation:

Start at (0,3). Move three units down and two units to the right to get to (2,0)

slope = rise/run

slope = -3/2

rise = -3 = go 3 units down

run = 2 = go 2 units to the right

--------------------------

We could use the two points (0,3) and (2,0) in the slope formula below

m = (y2-y1)/(x2-x1)

m = (0-3)/(2-0)

m = -3/2

So this is another way to see the slope is -3/2

--------------------------

The y intercept is where the graph crosses the vertical y axis. In this case, it's at 3. So b = 3

Using m = -3/2 and b = 3, we go from y = mx+b to y = (-3/2)x+3 which is equivalent to y = -1.5x+3
