2x+16=3x-12

16+12=3x-2x

28=x

now,since this is a fig of 2 parallel line with a bisector then line EF =180 degrees.

therefore,3x+12+y=180

3(28)+12+y=180 [we already found the value of x]

96+y=180

y=180-96

y=84.
