Nicole and her grandmother lives in the same neighborhood,but a forest of trees separate their house.if you left Nicole's house

and drove 3 miles west and made a right turn and went north 4miles you would be at her grandmothers house,walking though the trees from Nicole's to her grandmothers in a shortest distance,what's the distance?

Wouldn't that be 3 miles?

Use the Pythagorean theorem. 3^2+4^2=25. Square root of 25=5. Distance is 5 miles.
