Answer: The standard cell potential for the cell is +0.51 V

Explanation:

Given : E^0_{Ni^{2+}/Ni}=-0.25V

E^0_{Zn^{2+}/Zn}=-0.76V

The given reaction is:

Ni^{2+}(aq)+Zn(s)\rightarrow Zn^{2+}(aq)+Ni(s)

As nickel is undergoing reduction, it acts as cathode and Zinc is undergoing oxidation, so it acts as anode.

E^0_{cell}=E^0_{cathode}-E^0_{anode}

where both E^0  are standard reduction potentials.

Thus putting the values we get:

E^0_{cell}=-0.25-(-0.76)

E^0_{cell}=0.51V

Thus the standard cell potential for the cell is +0.51 V

Which which characteristics determines color? A. The Measurement from crest crest. B. The highest point on the wave. C. The lowe
maria [59]

Answer:

The answer is option A

Explanation:

This is because the measure from crest to crest is also known as the wavelength, and the color of a wave always depends on its wavelength, if you see the electromagnetic spectrum

Hope this helps!

How many moles of Magnesium Oxide are in 35g?
irga5000 [103]

Answer:

0.88mol

Explanation:

The number of moles, n, contained in a substance can be calculated using the formula;

Moles (n) = mass (m) ÷ molar mass (MM)

Molar mass of Magnesium oxide (MgO) = 24 + 16

= 40g/mol

According to the question, Mass of MgO = 35grams

Mole = 35/40

Mole = 0.875

Mole = 0.88mol

Representative elements are grouped according to which of the following?
sdas [7]
B. Representative electrons

Firstly it is best to describe the shape and structure of an atom, an atom's system and structure is like of the solar planet, the heliocentric view where the sun is the neutrons and protons and the planets are the electrons. Moreover, the electrons are outside these neutrons and protons surrounding the entire system of its atomic structure. Its movement is like of a planet.
