Hello!

The angle is a right angle, which measures 90°.

3x + x = 4x

Angle = 4x + 10 = 90

Switch that around

90 - 10 = 4x

90 - 10 = 80

80 = 4x

Divide by 4

\frac{80}{4} =  \frac{4x}{4}]

Hello !

The angles x° and (3x+10)° result a right angle,because the first and the third line are perpendicular.

The measure of a right angle is 90°

So : x° + (3x+10)° = 90

       x + 3x + 10 = 90

       4x + 10 = 90  | -10

       4x + 10 - 10 = 80

       4x = 80 | : 4

         4x:4 = 80:4

            x = 20°

leva [86]

The length of the ladder that makes an angle of 75 degrees and lies against the wall of a house that's 23 feet tall is <em>approximately </em>25.88 feet.

The ladder forms a right triangle as it lies against the wall as shown in the image below.

<em><u>Thus:</u></em>

x = length of the ladder (hypothenuse)

Reference angle (\theta) = 75^{\circ}

25 ft = Opposite

Apply SOH:

<em>Thus</em>,

sin(\theta) = \frac{Opposite}{Hypotenuse}

  • Plug in the values

sin(75) = \frac{25}{x}\\\\x = \frac{25}{sin(75)} \\\\\mathbf{x = 25.88}

Therefore, the length of the ladder that makes an angle of 75 degrees and lies against the wall of a house that's 23 feet tall is <em>approximately </em>25.88 feet.

20 points and crown determine the product of each set of polynomials (2x-3)(4x+5)=0
bonufazy [111]
Remember to make the polynomials to equal zero, one or the other polynomial must equal zero. So...

2x-3 = 0

2x= 3

x=3/2

and

4x+5 = 0

4x = -5

x = -5/4

So the answers are x=3/2 and x = -5/4

Hope this helps!

Aiden weighs 39 pounds less than his older brother, Jacob. Jacob weighs more than 100 pounds. what could be the weight of the Tw
Luba_88 [7]
If A=Aiden’s weight and J=Jacob’s weight, so A=J-39 or J=A+39.
J>100 so A+39>100, and A>61 pounds.
A+J>>61+100, A+J>>161. Or, A+J=2J-39=2A+39>161.
If A=62, J=101, so A+J=163 pounds.
Therefore we can say their combined weights will 161 pounds, and 163 pounds would be a typical weight.
