I believe the correct answer is false. <span>The parts of a mixture do not keep their own properties when they are combined. When they are combined, they exhibit or behave with different properties since each atom is bonded which gives them unique properties. Hope this helps.</span>

Why do you think there are so many more autotrophs than consumers on Earth?<br> Helppp
goldfiish [28.3K]

There are many Autotrophs than consumers because : Autotrophs are the bases of any food chain/web

<h3>Function of Autotrophs </h3>

Autotrophs capture the energy required for every food chain or web from which sustains other organisms in the food chain form sunlight and chemicals. Also there is always more biomass present in the lower levels of the trophic system as biomass decreases as we move up the food chain.

Since autotrophs are producers, for a healthy food chain there would be more autotrophs than consumers.

Hence we can conclude that There are many Autotrophs than consumers because : Autotrophs are the bases of any food chain/web

A 1.5 kg tether ball is hit so that it circles the pole with an angular speed of 4m/s
My name is Ann [436]

Well, you didn't ask a question, and 4 m/s is not an angular speed.
So all I can offer is a couple of observations:

1). The tension in the rope is

      M V² / R  =  (1.5 kg) x (4 m/s)² / R

                     =  (24 kg-m²/s²) / (distance of the ball from the pole).

2).  Tetherball was the only thing I played at camp,
       more than 60 years ago, and I loved it !
       It was a tough game, because we had to skin
       our own T.Rex and use his hide to make the ball
       and his guts for the rope.

A boy swings a ball on a string at constant speed in a circle that has a circumference equal to 6 m. What is the work done on th
Grace [21]

Answer:

0 J

Explanation:

From the diagram below; we would notice that the Force (F) = Tension (T)

Also the angle θ adjacent to the perpendicular line = 90 °

The Workdone W = F. d

W = Fd cos θ

W = Fd cos 90°

W = Fd (0)

W = 0 J

Hence the force is perpendicular to the direction of displacement and the net work done in a circular motion in one complete revolution is = 0

What is the mass of an object going 25 m/s and has a momentum of 140<br> kg m/s?
slega [8]

Answer:

The answer would be 5.6 kg of a mass.

Explanation:

p= mv

m= p/ v

The explanation of that is:

momentum = mass× velocity

mass= momentum / velocity

Hope this helped!

In class we described the tidal forces that are responsible for raising and lowering thewater level near the shore of the ocean.
Sloan [31]

The newton's law of universal gravitation used to describe how a particle attracts every other particle in the universe.

The equation is given by,

F= G\frac{m_1 m_2}{r_2}

Where,

F= Gravitational force

m_1, m_2 = masses of the objects

r= is the distance between the center of their masses

G= Gravitational constant

For our problem we have defined that,

M_m = 7.24*10^{22}kg (mass of the moon)

d= 3.84*10^8 km (distance Earth-moon)

G= 6.671*10^{-11}Nm^2/kg^2

M=Mass of a person

We have then,

F_m = M\frac{6.67*10^-11*7.34*10^22}{3.84*10^8}

F_m = M*3.320*10^{-5} N

In the other hand we have the force on m-mass due to earth

F_E= MG = M*9.8N

Ratio is given by

\frac{F_m}{F_E} = {M*3.320*10^{-5}}{9.8} = 3.387*10^{-6}

B) Suppose there is a group of young people surfing in the moonlight. They are directly under the moon. At this time the moon exerts its gravitational effect of the earth that causes the tide to rise. Around 6 hours later, when the earth has moved a quarter of the moon, the force on that point decreases, so the tide drops. However, after another 6 hours, people return and experience the same process. In this case the moon is not above them, but on the other side. This is because the moon having an orbit on the earth, generates an external force, similar to the previous one, but the earth reacts in the opposite way. It is like going in a car and turning it, all people will tend to get out of it, because a centrifugal force is experienced.
