Answer:

<em>The resonance frequency = 0.978 Hz</em>

Explanation:

Resonance: This is a point in an A.c circuit where the capacitive reactance is equal to the inductive reactance. The frequency at resonance is called<em> Resonance Frequency. Mathematically, </em><em>resonance frequency is expressed as</em>

f₀ = 1/2π√(LC)......................................... Equation 1

Where f₀ = resonance frequency, L = inductance of the inductor, C = capacitance

<em>Given: L = 900 mH = (900/1000) H = 0.9 H, C = 0.014 mF = (0.014/1000) F = 0.000014 F</em>

<em>Constant: π = 3.143</em>

Substituting these values into equation 1

f₀ = 1/2×3.143√(0.9×0.000014)

f₀ = 1/6.286√(0.0000126)

f₀ = 1/6.286×0.00355

f₀ = 1/0.0223

f₀ = 0.978 Hz.

<em>Therefore the resonance frequency = 0.978 Hz</em>

Vector addition of a=8km[E] and b=13km[E]
AlladinOne [14]

The answer to the question is 21 km towards east.

CALCULATION:

Let us consider two vectors \vec A \ and\ \vec B

As per the question, \vec A=8\ km\ towards\ east

                                  \vec B=\ 13\ km\ towards\ east

It is obvious that two vectors are parallel to each other. Hence, the angle between them is zero i.e \theta\ = 0^0

We are asked to calculate the resultant .

As per parallelogram law of vector addition, the magnitude of resultant will be-

                        R=\sqrt{A^{2} +B^{2} +2ABcos\theta}

                              =\sqrt{8^2+13^2+2\times 8\times13 cos0}

                              =\sqrt{64+169+208}    [∵ cos0 = 1]

                              =\sqrt{441}\ km

                              =\ 21\ km

The direction of the resultant will be also towards east as the two vectors are parallel to each other.

Hence, the vector addition of two vectors are 21 km towards east.

An organ tuner is comparing the fundamental pitch from a certain closed-end organ pipe that is 59.9 cm long
aksik [14]

Answer:

6.6 beats per second

Explanation:

For a closed-end pipe, the fundamental frequency is given by

f_1 = \frac{v}{4 L}

where

v is the speed of sound

L is the length of the pipe

Here we have

v = 346 m/s

L = 59.9 cm = 0.599 m

So the fundamental frequency is

f_1 = \frac{346 m/s}{4\cdot 0.599 m}=144.4 Hz

The frequency of the signal generator is

f_2 = 151 Hz

So the beat frequency is given by the absolute value of the difference between the two frequencies:

f_b = |f_1 -f_2|=|144.4 Hz-151 Hz|=6.6 Hz

which means that 6.6 beats per second are heard.
