A diver begins at sea level and dives down 200 feet. He ascends at a steady rate of 121/3 feet per minute for 4.5 minutes. This

depth is represented by the numerical expression:      -200 + 121 3 (4.5) Simplify the expression using the order of operations. What is the diver’s depth?      -200 + 37 3 (4.5)     -200 + 55.5

Answer: The divers depth is 144.5 feet below sea level. Or -144.5 feet.

To find this answer, you have to plug in 4.5 into the given equation.

The steps will look like this. I changed 12 and 1/3 to 37/3

-200 + (37/3)(4.5)
-200 + 55.5
-144.5

This is the depth of the diver after 4.5 seconds.

−200+

37

3

(4.5)

=−200+55.5

=−144.5             You can use order of operations or pemdas to solve problems like this. Just remeber to go left to right and multiplaction can be before division and multiplacation can be before divison (same with subtaction and addition)

A)she is not right.because if the remaining peice is the hypotenuse of the triangle, the answer will be around 27.8 if the hypotenuse is 22 then the missing angle is 13.96

b)yes it will work
if you double the measurements of the two sides of a right triangle the other one will be double, too(you can get help from Pythagoras theorem )

c)yes it is possible. if we can double the sides of a right triangle it means that we add measurements to the triangle.
for example:a triangle with sides of 3,4,5
if we add 6,8,10
it will be 9,12,15
hope I could help

T is the interior of angle RSU. How to find the interior of Angle RSU. The first angle is RST which equals thirty eight degrees
Black_prince [1.1K]
For this problem, we apply the Angle Addition Postulate. This postulate states that the sum of all the interior angles is equal to the total angle it forms. Looking at the attached figure, this means that ∠RSU = ∠RST + ∠TSU. So, to find the value of angle RSU, you just have to add the two individual interior angles:

∠RSU = 38° + 28.6° = 66.6°
