Answer: The missing value can be obtained with help of the below explanation.

Step-by-step explanation:

Since, Jasper takes time to  installs a floor when he works alone = 7 hour

Thus, the total work done by him in one day = 1/7

While,  Working with Yolanda, He takes time = 3 hours

Therefore, the total work done by Yolanda and jasper simultaneously in one day = 1/3

Let Yolanda takes x days to complete the work in one day when he works alone.

Therefore, total work done by him in one day when he work alone = 1/x

Thus, the total work done by Yolanda and jasper simultaneously in one day = The total work done by Yolanda in one day when he works alone + total work done by jasper in one day when he work alone

⇒ 1/3 = 1/x + 1/7

⇒ 1/x= 1/3-1/7 ⇒ 1/x = 4/21

Thus, the work of jasper in one day = 4/21

And, his work in 3 day = 3 × 4/21 = 4/7

Thus, The part of the floor Yolanda will install = 4/7

And, The part of the floor jasper will install = 1-4/7=3/7
