Answer:

x = -60

Step-by-step explanation:

1.4(2x+3) = 0.9(3x-2)

(1.4)(2x) + (1.4)(3) = 0.9(3x) - 0.9(2)

2.8x + 4.2 = 2.7x - 1.8

2.8x - 2.7x = -1.8 -4.2

0.1x = -6

x = -60

Answer:

x = - 60

Step-by-step explanation:

1.4(2x+3) = 0.9(3x-2)                 Remove the brackets

2.8x + 4.2 = 2.7x - 1.8               Subtract 4.2 from both sides

2.8x +4.2-4.2 = 2.7x - 1.8- 4.2

2.8x = 2.7x - 6                           Subtract 2.7x from both sides

2.8x-2.7x = - 6

0.1x = - 6                                    Divide by 0.1

0.1x/0.1 = - 6/0.1

x = - 60

We are given with a circle and we need to find the <em>equation of the circle</em> , but first let's recall that , the equation of a circle with radius<em> 'r'</em> and centre at <em>(h,k) </em>is given by {\bf{(x-h)^{2}+(y-k)^{2}=r^{2}}}

Now , here as as the circle cuts the +ve x-axis at (9,0) . So , it's radius is 9 units or the 2nd way is to measure the distance from centre of the circle to the point where the circle cuts the graph , as the centre is at Origin , so here <em>(h,k) = (0,0)</em> .Which means that the centre is located at the point whose coordinates are<em> (0,0)</em> which is also known as origin . Now , finding the equation of the circle :-

{:\implies \quad \sf (x-0)^{2}+(y-0)^{2}=(9)^{2}}

{:\implies \quad \bf \therefore \quad \underline{\underline{x^{2}+y^{2}=81}}}

<em>This is the required equation of Circle</em>

Find all polar coordinates of point p if p=1,-x/6
Alecsey [184]

Answer:

All polar coordinates of point P are; (1 , -x/6 + 2nn) and (-1, -x/6 + (2n+1)n)

Step-by-step explanation:

The polar coordinates can be represented as;

(r,Ф)= (r,Ф+2nn) or (r,Ф) =(-r,Ф+(2n+1)n)

Where n is any integer value.

From the question, we are given that; p=(1,-x/6)

Comparing it with P(r,Ф), then r = 1 and Ф = -x/6

The polar coordinates will now be;

P(r,Ф) = (r,Ф+2nn)  = (1 , -x/6 + 2nn)

Where; n is any positive integer and the value of r is positive.

While;

P(r,Ф) =(-r,Ф+(2n+1)n) = (-1, -x/6+(2n+1)n) and n is any positive integer and the value of r is negative.

Thus, all polar coordinates of point P are  (1 , -x/6 + 2nn) and (-1, -x/6 + (2n+1)n)
