Answer:

0.4589 J g^-1 K^-1  IS THE SPECIFIC HEAT OF IRON.

Explanation:

Specific heat of iron can be calculated using the heat of reaction  formulae

Heat = mass * specific heat * ( T2-T1)

H = m c (T2-T1)

c = H / m * (T2-T1)

H = 1050 J

m = 220.0 g

T2 = 20.4 ° C = 20.4 + 273 = 293.4 K

T1 = 10.0 °C = 10 + 273 K = 283 K

so therefore:

c = 1050 / 220 * ( 293.4 - 283) K

c = 1050 / 220 * 10.4

c = 1050 / 2288

c = 0.4589 J g^-1 K^-1

The specific heat capacity of iron is 0.4589 J g^-1 K^-1

Answer:

0.4589J/g°C

Explanation:

Heat energy = 1050J

Mass of iron = 220.0g

Initial temperature (T1) = 10°C

Final temperature (T2) = 20.4°C

Heat energy = mc∇T

Q = mc∇T

Q = heat energy

M = mass of the substance

C = specific heat capacity of the substance

∇T = change in temperature = T2 - T1

Q = m×c×(T2 - T1)

1050 = 220 × c ×(20.4 - 10)

1050 = 220c × (10.4)

1050 = 2288c

c = 1050 / 2288

C = 0.4589J/g°C

The specific heat capacity of iron is 0.4589J/g°C

Elements and compounds. This is because in solutions and mixtures the substances are not bonded to each other or pure, you can separate and purify substances in solutions and mixtures (via techniques such as distillation, filtering) but you cannot separate compounds as they are bonded together.

Is matter and mass always the same
Anna11 [10]
Matter is a slightly archaic word for something with mass, as in the conservation of matter (which must be paired with the conservation of energy to still hold true. Mass can be converted back and forth between energy, so therefore so can matter. Of course relativistic mass is conserved as it's a function of the energy of an object in that reference frame.

Doping Se with P would produce a(n) ________ semiconductor with ____________ conductivity compared to pure Se.
deff fn [24]
Doping Se (group VI elements) with P(group V)elements would produce a P-TYPE semiconductor with HIGHER conductivity compared to pure Se

the reason is P dopant will introduce holes in the Se as P has lesser valence electron

What is the speed of light of an orange light with a wavelength of 600nm and a frequency of 5.00x1014?
vovangra [49]

Answer:

3 × 10^8 m/s

Explanation:

The wavelength, can be calculated by using the following formula;

λ = v/f

Where;

λ = wavelength (m)

v = velocity/speed of light (m/s)

f = frequency (Hz)

According to the provided information in this question, λ = 600nm i.e. 600 × 10^-9m, f = 5.00 x 10^14 Hz

Hence, using λ = v/f

v = λ × f

v = 600 × 10^-9 × 5.00 x 10^14

v = 6 × 10^-7 × 5.00 x 10^14

v = 30 × 10^(-7 + 14)

v = 30 × 10^ (7)

v = 3 × 10^8 m/s
