A client receives prochlorperazine rectally at 6:00 pm. the nurse would expect the drug to begin acting at approximately which time?
Answer: 7.00pm
Time need from a drug to works is called onset of action. Prochlorperazine will need about 1 hour to work if given rectally. In this case, 1 hour from 6.00 pm will be 7.00pm
